Blackburn has a thriving cultural and entertainment scene from proudly hosting the award-winning National Festival of Making to being home to Lancashire’s biggest live music venues. There are lots of concerts, music productions, plays, dancing and family shows at King George’s Hall, Blackburn Cathedral, Darwen Library Theatre, Blackburn Empire Theatre and so much more. Blackburn also has its own Museum and Art Gallery where you can see Victorian paintings, and learn more about Blackburn’s past.
Both towns have a lot of restaurants, bars and cafés, and you can find a list of some of the best places here. There are a number of libraries in Blackburn and Darwen where you can borrow books, use their laptops, gain digital skills and a range of children’s activities on offer.
